Semilac Autumn Luxe is nine gel polish shades, already split into three groups by finish. Decide how much of your natural nail you want to see, then pick the colour inside that group.
That split is the fastest way to choose, and it is the question worth answering first. Below: all nine, what each group gives you, and a short route through them by mood and by colour family.
One question narrows nine to three
How much of your own nail do you want to see?
None, and you want Opaque. Some, and you want Jelly Effect. Most of it, and you want Glass Nails.
Glass Nails: sheer and glossy
All three are semi-transparent. Your nail stays part of the result, and the finish reads glossy rather than solid. This is the group to choose if you want the season without a heavy colour.
Jelly Effect: translucent colour
Also semi-transparent, with more colour in them than the Glass group. Honey is amber, Spritz is orange-peach and Cola is a deep, see-through brown.
Opaque: full colour
The most colour of the three groups. Choose this group if you want the colour to do the work rather than the finish.

Shades that work together
Two coverages of one colour. 941 Hot Chocolate on most nails, 942 Jelly Cola on the ring finger. Same brown family, different amount of light through it.
Warm and neutral. 946 Jelly Honey with 947 Basic Gloss.
Spice and depth. 943 Too Hot with 944 Glazed Cinnamon.
For nail techs: lead with coverage
Lead the consultation with coverage, not colour
Asking a client how much of their own nail they want to see narrows nine shades to three before you have discussed a single colour. Three coverages across five colour families covers most autumn requests without a large order.
Glass and Jelly both change with the nail underneath, so swatch the sheer ones on the client.
Questions people ask
How many shades are in the Autumn Luxe collection?
Nine gel polish shades, numbered 939 to 947, split into three finish groups of three.
What is the difference between the Glass and Jelly groups?
Both are semi-transparent. The Jelly shades carry more colour. The Glass shades are glossier and lighter, and 944 Glazed Cinnamon adds a subtle magnetic shimmer.
Which Autumn Luxe shade is the darkest?
941 Hot Chocolate, a milk-chocolate brown, or 939 90s Rich, a deep burgundy. For a dark shade you can still see through, 942 Jelly Cola.
Which shade should I start with?
941 Hot Chocolate if you want one shade that covers the whole season. 947 Basic Gloss if you would rather keep it subtle.
Will these work past autumn?
The browns and the burgundy carry into winter without looking out of place. The oranges are the most seasonal of the nine.
