What about traditional Builder Gel?
Semilac Builder Gel is a different system. Builder gels are applied from a pot with a gel brush and are used for building, strengthening and extending nails. Most Semilac builder gels require a suitable base underneath, followed by the appropriate finishing products for the styling.
For longer extensions, Semilac Thixo gels offer greater control while building length. Their thixotropic consistency becomes easier to move while working with the brush and becomes denser again when you stop manipulating the product.
Smart Builder keeps the bottle-and-brush format and combines several manicure stages in one product. Traditional Builder Gel and Thixo systems remain separate options for gel-building techniques.
How to use Smart Builder
- Prepare the nail. Shape the nail, prepare the cuticle area, gently buff where required and cleanse the nail plate with Semilac Nail Cleaner.
- Apply a thin first layer. Spread Smart Builder evenly over the prepared nail plate.
- Build the nail. Apply a larger amount of product and distribute it to create the required structure. When building in layers, cure each layer.
- Cure in a UV/LED lamp. Use the curing time for the exact Smart Builder product and lamp you are using.
- Refine the shape if needed. File or gently buff the cured product where the styling requires it.
- Cleanse the finish. Wipe the dispersion layer with Semilac Nail Cleaner.
